From a forest-locality in Gippsland, dear Sir Joseph, I write these few lines to inform
you, that a new regulation has come into force here, according to which Gov. Publications
will no longer be distributed by the Heads of Departments, but by a newly created
“Premier’s Office[”],
which has got a special staff, on whom inter alia the sending off of Gov. publications
henceforth devolves.

editorial addition.
As the 9th Decade of the Eucalyptography
is out, I have no doubt you will receive it through the Channel indicated. The 10th
is also printed, but the Keys for the whole ten decades, to go with it, are not yet
completed, as I cannot finish them away from my poor Office place.

No botanical keys were issued with the 10th Decade, B84.13.09, but a number of indexes
and general material referring to the whole work were included.
I went to this silvan region for my health, and conduct here Office work and some
litterary work; but my cough is not subdued yet, and I feel very week and have no
desire for food yet, altho’ the nocturnal perspirations ceased.
Regardfully your
Ferd. von Mueller.
