Vic.
10/01/84.
This day, dear Mr. Wilson, I received the blank schedule here with your
minute
thereon.
May I ask, whether it will be early enough, if I forwarded the return in about one
weeks time,
I should like to stay in the pure air til about the end of next week, as my cough
is only to some extent subdued yet. I have here abundance of work, as the daily correspondence
is forwarded on to me.

See T. Wilson to M, 20 December 1883.

MS annotation by Wilson, 16 January: 'A week hence will be sufficiently early'. M
returned the file on 18 January 'with best thanks'.
Thus I wish to conduct the correspondence for the next P. & O. mail
here, and finish also the 10th Decade of the Eucalyptography.
Moreover I would like to consult with you on some points, before I send in the return,
as some slight rearrangement of duties of some of the subordinates in my Department
is recommendable.

i.e. the overseas mail via the P. & O. shipping line.

Let me offer, late as it is, my best wishes for the new year to you to your kind Lady
and children.

M had already sent season's greetings to Wilson; see M to T. Wilson, 1 January 1884.
Regardfully
your
Ferd. von Mueller
