nur sofort dort vor die Kgl Gesellschaft. Er ist der Meister der Meer (Phanerogamen) Monocotyledonen. Im VorWort könnten Sie mir ja in soweit gerecht werden, als zu bemerken, dass ich Sie darauf aufmerksam gemacht, dass die Föcundations Organe dieser Pflanze sehr unvollkommen bekannt sein, da die Pflanze nur dem am Meeresstrande wirklich Wohnenden für längere und zusammenhängende Beobachtung zugänglich sei.

Würden Sie meinem Gedächtniss zu Hülfe kommen, in Bezug auf eine kleine Lepidoptera, mit Raupe, die Mr Meyrick als eine der Nolidae unter den Bombycinen bestimmt hat. Ich erinnere nicht recht, ob diese Thierchen zu mir durch Sie kamen, aber ich glaube so! In dem Falle weiss ich jetzt nicht mehr genau, was Sie über diese vermuthliche Nola beobachteten. für Euc viminalis Es ist meine Absicht mit nächster Post die von Mr Meyrick aus Neu Seeland zurückgeschickten Exemplare an meinen vieljährigen Freund Prof Owen zu senden, der dann den Entomologen des Brit Museums mit der genauen Definition dieser Art betrauen kann.
Ihr Prasopyllum soll demnächst im Zusammenhang mit andern kritischen Arten vorgenommen werden, seit den Vorbereitungen für die Weltaustellung hat sich bei mir alles überstürzen .

Ascherson (1882). Paper read at the Royal Society of South Australia on 13 June 1882, with a foreword by Tepper and translated by him.
He is the master of the marine (phanerogams) monocotyledons. In the foreword you could certainly do me justice in so far as to note that I made you aware that the organs of reproduction of this plant are very incompletely known because the plant is accessible for lengthy and coherent observations only to those actually living at the sea-shore.
