Strigops over Nestor deleted.
Stets der Ihre

Easter fell on 13 April in 1879.
Again, best of men and friend, a small consignment is ready for you from here, and
then also another
large
Australian Crocodile will reach you specially packed. The latter alone with packing
and freight costs about
ten
£. You see therefore that I spare no sacrifice to be useful to you. I would like
now to know from you after closer investigation whether this species is different
from the Indian.

See M to F. von Krauss, 19 March 1879.
The large specimen goes off per "Scottish Prince" from Queensland direct to you (per Blackith & Co); I am sending a smaller specimen
with the other things to Dr Sonder, as you will gather from the enclosed note.
Of the Apteryx skins and Strigops skins, as well as of the skeletons of these birds, I ask you to kindly send 1 specimen
to the museum of my native town Rostock.
Always your
Ferd. von Mueller.
