Being engaged in the elaboration of the text of my "Eucalyptus Atlas",

dear Prof. De Candolle, I am eager to ask you, whether I could get a bud, flower, fruit and leaf of E. ligustrina, E. obtusiflora, E pallens from the original specimens, described by your great parent.

M did not discuss any of the species named in Eucalyptographia.

I trust, that my publications reach you safely from time to time, as they appear, and meet with your friendly recognition.

I am likely to send out soon many rare duplicates or spare-specimens. Can the set, intended for you, be forwarded to Trübner as before?
