I have sent by this post, dear Mr Bentham, the duplicate bill of loading concerning the consignment by " Northumberland " to Dr Hooker. It contained all & some allied plants. The box with , , &c &c is nearly ready & will certainly be despatched at the end of this month. The are soon to follow, and the & ferns are ready. So there will not likely be any interruption in the progress of your work for volume VII so far as I am concerned.

I have changed the genus of R Brown to , as there is an earlier of Reichenbach.

W. Hooker (1843) included the formal description of the by Robert Brown (1773-1858); H. G. L Reichenbach (1828), p. 131 erected . M never published this name change; see G. Bentham to M, 18 October 1874 (in this edition as 74-10-18c).
