Dear Dr Mueller
I have little time to write by this mail, being much occupied with the illness of my Brother in law the Rev. G. Henslow whose Botanical notes you may have seen in "Nature" — & who is suddenly paralyzed, & his life despaired of: & which throws a heavy family responsibility on me.
Thanks for the packets of seeds, which arrived in very good order. The Hampshire has not yet arrived, & Bentham has taken up the for Martius Flor. Bras.,

I earnestly hope that the blue flowered Andersonia will arrive alive.
We have received the second fine , many thanks; — The have made no show of life yet. They are tubbed in a stove.
The long made a few fronds & then stopped — I have laid it on its side & clothed it with moss.
I have just had the drawn from your plant for the Magazine.
