Sir,
In reply to your letter of the 17th ultimo
asking to have two laborers placed under your control for the purpose of planting
willows &c on the banks of the Yarra, I am desired by the Health Committee of the
Council of the City of Melbourne to inform you that at present the Corporation have
no laborers employed in the parks, and consequently are unable to comply with your
request.
