See M to S. Bindon, 6 February 1871.
The Committee hope that something like a catalogue or list may be available of what has been done.
The Committee require no more wood labels, as the labels hitherto supplied came off as fast as put on, and suggest that cardboard labels tacked on would answer the purpose equally well
The Committee can incur no further expense until what has been done has been listed and arranged
The Committee think that a great bulk of what has been contributed has been contributed by Messrs Felton Grimwade and others

The Committee beg to refer Dr Von Mueller to their repeated letters on the subject of Dr Hoffmann's salary, and to inform him finally that they cannot pay pay
