M's requisition was approved and returned to him on 6 July 1866. It is not known for what these forms were to be used. Although the register entry could suggest that it was for supply of plants from the Garden, no example of such a form has been found earlier than 1873 (see, for example, M to J. Casey, 9 March 1873).
