M's present letter was returned to him on 14 June 1866 annotated: 'unnecessary at present to forwd any additions'. M returned the letter to the Chief Secretary's Department on 16 June, and it was returned again to him on 19 June annotated: 'report returned as requested'. The report was not presented to Parliament in the current or 1867 sessions (Victoria, Votes and proceedings of the Legislative Assembly). Neither published copies nor a manuscript have been found.
