Dear Dr Mueller
The bearer of this is a gentleman who is visiting Australia for his health, with his sister.

James and Elizabeth Hodgson (aged 18 and 25 respectively) arrived in Melbourne per Lincolnshire on 17 September 1864 (Index to Unassisted Inward Passenger Lists to Victoria 1852-1923).
— Mr & Miss Hodgson's mother is a very near neighbour of ours, indeed dwells on the premises, the Honble Mrs H. having charge of Kew Palace.
Mr Hodgson has kindly taken charge of the for you & will I hope transport it alive this time. Two boxes from Mr Bentham went for you two days ago from this.
Mr Oldfield is still in this Country & has not made up his mind what to do.
My father is remaining well & desires his kindest regards; he is very busy at his Synopsis Filicum
