Am heutigen Tage bot sich bei der Absendung einer Kiste mit Herbarien an meinen edlen Freund Sir Will. Hooker die Gelegenheit dar, die inzwischen für Ihr Institut bei mir eingelaufenen Charten von Queensland & New South Wales an Sie abzusenden. Es ist eine prächtige Sammlung. Ich habe selbst einige Victoria Charten u die von Gregory von N. W. Australien u die letzte Ausgabe der Explorationskarte hinzugefügt.
Sir Will. Hookers Sohn, Dr Jos. Hooker, wird diese Documente so wie eine Kleinigkeit für die geograph. Gesellschaft in Darmstadt an Sie absenden durch die Herrn Trübner & Co.

Highly esteemed Doctor and Professor,
While sending a case of herbarium plants to my noble friend, Sir William Hooker, the opportunity offered today of dispatching to you the maps of Queensland and New South Wales that have since arrived here for your institute. It is a splendid collection. I myself have added a few maps of Victoria and that by Gregory of N. W. Australia and the latest issue of the exploration map.
Sir Will. Hooker's son, Dr Jos. Hooker, will forward these documents as well as a trifle for the Geographical Society of Darmstadt through Messrs Trübner & Co.
