I have the honor to report to you my return from the botanical journey to the south eastern parts of Gipps land, from whence I arrived last night, my return being retarded several days beyond the time anticipated, by the circumstance of no steamer leaving Twofold Bay as usual during the middle of last week.

M must have travelled on Wonga Wonga , which left Eden, NSW on 30 September and arrived in Melbourne on 1 October; s ee Argus , 2 October 1860, p. 4.

I shall have the honor of laying the results of this journey before you embodied in my annual report.
