Genus not in IPNI (accessed 21 April 2020). However, there are specimens from the Brisbane River labelled Pogonopetalum multiflorum, which is also a genus name not found published, at Trinity College Dublin (TCD 145095), Melbourne (MEL74652) and Kew (K 739243). It is possible, but by no means certain, that M had changed his mind on the name to use. The Kew specimen, collected by Hill and M, is described as Atalaya multiflora in Bentham (1863-78), vol. 1, p. 463; that is also the name under which the Melbourne sheet is stored.

These plants were received and listed by W. Hooker in July 1857: the two lists are nearly identical (W. Hooker, 'List of Mueller's Australian plants received in July 1857', Plants lists, vol. 1 Europe, Africa, America, Australia, New Zealand, Polynesia, 1845-63, RBG Kew).
