It is most kind of you, dear Mr. Campbell, to send me the photograms so aptly and admirably prepared by you.

In his introduction to the extract Campbell reports that in 1894 he sent M a number of photographs of artesian bores with the water flowing from them. Photographs not found.
They give me the first real idea of regions never visited by myself. I have your honoured name with 'fecit' to each.
