Sir,
With reference to your letter of the 12th instant
I beg to inform you that the thanks of this Government have already been communicated
to the Chief Commissioner of the Forest Department, Burma, for the box of Bamboo seeds
which he sent to this Government.

As regards your suggestion that a set of your works should be presented to the Chief
Commissioner I beg to point out that the Bamboo seeds are sent as a return for certain
Eucalyptus seeds supplied by this Government and it is scarcely thought necessary
to make any further exchanges at present.
