Dear Sir
I forward with this seven fresh specimens to me.
Our school botanical collection is daily being added to, the children taking great interest in it.
In a recent issue of the "Age" a plant was described as " " I have the same plant but spelt " " Will you kindly say which is correct
3
See Age (Melbourne), 1 October 1883, p. 5: 'A number of animals were discovered dead in a field … the cause of death was a small plant with bright red flowers and a kind of burr. [Baron von Mueller reported that] the burr which caused the mischief … is Avaena languisorbae'. Acaena sanguisorbae is correct.
With many thanks for former kindness
I remain
yours Truly
Sidney Johnson
