which I sincerely regret are so numerous.

My acknowledgments are also due for the valuable and interesting work entitled — "U. S. Geological and Geographical Survey of the Territories of Idaho and Wyoming, 1877" — donated by you to the Library of this Institution which I may say is both useful and acceptable and you may rest assured that the other volumes which you may be pleased to favor us with will be welcome additions to our (at present) rather scant Library.
