[I have lately received from the eminent botanist and curator of the Government Botanical Gardens, Melbourne,

M had not been associated with the Botanic Gardens since he was dismissed as Director in June 1873.
Baron Ferd. von Mueller, a fine assortment of seeds of trees, etc. I consider that I hold them for the public benefit and shall be glad to distribute them to those who will make use of them. I ask especially that owners of high and mountain lands, will take those varieties which are specially fitted for such situations. Among the seed are: —
Pinus Dahuria.
