June 22nd 1882.
My dear Baron,
We have done what we could to make Mr Tietkens happy!
3
Tietkins married Mary Ann Long at Richmond, NSW, on 14 June 1882 (ADB). See W. Woolls to M, 13 May 1882.
He left with Mrs Tietkens yesterday in the Liguria & I dare say you will see them before they leave for Adelaide.
You will be surprised to hear that our friend Miss Scott
4
Harriet Scott.
is engaged to be married to Dr C. Morgan, a medical man in good practice at Newcastle.
5
NSW.
He is a widower & has several children, but I think the marriage will be satisfactory to all parties.
6
The marriage proved an unhappy one; see ADB under Andrew Walker Scott.
1. I send you another fragment of Boronia Barkeriana from swampy ground at Botany.
7
NSW.
I hope to send you better specimens soon. I think we may conclude now that it occurs near the coast, & then passing over the Wianamatta Beds,
8
Beds of shale prevalent in the Sydney region.
it appears on the sand-stone of the Blue Mountains.
2. I found last week a solitary specimen of Prasophyllum rufum in a scrub near Richmond. It differs from those I used to send from Parramatta. I think you are right in making three species of the small ones.
3. This is a solitary specimen of Pterostylis nutans from the Blue Mountains. It agrees pretty well with Mr Fitzgerald's figure:
9
Figured in R. Fitzgerald (1875-94), vol. 1, part 6.
the labellum is papillose
4. This looks like Solanum campanulatum . It came from the Namoi.

Namoi River, NSW.
I am much obliged for your papers on Persoonia & the leguminous plants. The remarks on the former surprised me very much. What became of the term Dicoty ledonous as applied to Persoonia ?

Your remarks on Euchilopsis are interesting

P.S. The labellum of P. rufum is longer & narrower than that of P. nigricans
