The Bailiff of Crown Lands at St. Arnaud having forwarded to this Office the accompanying specimen of bark (which he designates black wattle) with a view of ascertaining if it is as good for tanning purposes as the ordinary wattle bark, I beg to request that you will have the goodness to furnish me with the necessary information.
