FOR A FELLOW OF THE LINNEAN SOCIETY OF LONDON.

We have the honor to recommend Charl. Barnard, M. D., of Gulgong (New South Wales) as a fellow of the Linnean Society, for which distinction he has some claims by his local investigation into vegetable palaeontology.

Annotated on the front W.S. Dallas in the Chair, and on the back Chas Barnard elected 21 Apl 1881. Barnard withdrew from the Fellowship during the 1887-8 session (Proceedings of the Linnean Society, session 1887-8, p. 16).
This recommendation must be signed by Three or more Fellows.
N.B. – The Christian name of the Candidate must be stated at length, as well as his Residence, and any special qualifications he may possess.
This certificate was read at a General Meeting of the Society, on the 17th day of March 1881
