The honorable Rob. Ramsay, M.L.A.,
Sir.
I have the honor to inform you, that I returned this day from my departmental journey
to the western districts.
1
Vic. M left Melbourne on 15 May to speak at Ballarat Farmers' Club that day, and sought
permission to extend his absence in M to R. Ramsay, 10 May 1875. MEL has only one specimen dated to May 1875,
Sagina procumbens, MEL 2224812, from Mt Gellibrand, from where M wrote M to A. de Candolle on 17 May 1875; M to R. Ramsay, 17 May 1875 (in this edition as 75-05-17a); M to G. Bentham, 17 May 1875 (in this edition as 75-05-17b); and, although addressed from 'Melbourne', M to J. Hooker, 17 May 1875 (in this edition
as
75-05-17c). It
is not possible to determine with certainty which If any undated specimens may have
been collected on that trip, and hence no approximation of other places visited is
possible.
I have the honor to be,
Sir, your obedient serv.
Ferd. von Mueller
