Bulletin de la Société d'acclimatation, series 2 vol. 10 (1873), p. 758. M's letter is dated to June 1873 as the latest
likely date that it could have been sent to d'Ounous in Saverdun, Ariege, in the Midi-Pyrenees region (now part of the Occitanie region) of France in time for
him to report the seeds to the meeting of the Society held on 29 August 1873. However,
as d'Ounous offered material from five other correspondents, it may have been sent
earlier, and held until d’Ounous had accumulated a consignment.
