30/1/73.
May I ask you, dear Mr Tulk, to let me kindly have the loan for a
few days
only of the 73th, 67th, 71th and 76th vol. of the Bot. Magazine,
my own series being not quite complete. Sir Redm. Barry offered spontaneously, that
like our illustrious friend Count de Castelnau I should enjoy the privilege of using
occasionally books out of your noble institution at my own dwelling.
1
W. Hooker (1827-64).
2
MS annotation by Tulk: 'Granted 31st Jany 1873'.
Regardfully your
Ferd. von Mueller
