These species are listed again, some with one or more of common name, location where they grow naturally, and their use, in 'Semillas de Australia' [Australian seeds], Anales de la Sociedad Rural Argentina , 1871, vol. 5, pp. 275-6. In a few cases the name errors noted here have been corrected, or given in a new incorrect reading. There is no indication of the source of the additional information, although it is possible that it was with the seeds.

dated 10 February. in which he reports having shipped a collection of seeds of fast-growing trees from Australia on the ship "Loch Fay" directed to the Agent General of Victoria, in London, Mr Ge orge Verdon, with a request to send it to the Argentine Rural Society, wishing their culture to be tested in different localities of this country in order to better test the result.
According to the accompanying list, he sends the following seeds:]

Typesetter's error for Willd. (=Willdenow)? The typesetter or editor clearly had difficulty with M's hand; where a misreading is the probable cause of the error, this explanation is suggested in the notes.
