Letter not found. The text given here is from the Bulletin de la Société impériale zoologique d'acclimatation , series 2, vol. 7 (1870), p. 333. It is the beginning of a two-page summary of M's report by 'A.A.D' and is printed in the May issue of the Bulletin, following the minutes of the meeting of 18 March. The letter is dated to January 1870 as the latest likely date that it could have been sent for the summary to be prepared by March 1870, but it may have been sent at any time after its publication in July 1869.

Mueller, notre collègue, directeur du jardin botanique de Melbourne, a adressé de cette ville à la Société un exemplaire du rapport qu'il a envoyé au gouvernement anglais comme botaniste officiel du gouvernement et comme directeur du jardin botanique de Melbourne; ce rapport est daté de Melbourne, 14 septembre 1868; un rapport supplémentaire du 8 mars 1869 y est annexé.]
