Sir,
I am directed by the Honorable the Treasurer to forward to you the accompanying form,
on which to render certain information which he desires to possess respecting the
Expenditure and Liabilities of the Year 1868: and I am to request that you will be
good enough to cause the form to be filled in as indicated by it, and returned to
the Treasury not later than Wednesday forenoon.

The form that accompanied the letter was signed and returned by M, once it had been
completed; see M to R. Byrne, 15 November 1869 (in this edition as 69-11-15b).
It is further requested that, in the event of there being further Supplementary Estimates
(1868), the total amount thereof may be stated in the columns of remarks.
