[Dr. Mueller requests us to say that he would regard it as an especial favour if miners engaged at the Snowy Mountains would secure seeds of any of the plants exposed during the winter to frosts of long duration on our alpine heights and plateaux. Such plants would endure the climate of middle Europe, and could this be cultivated in Britain in the open air. Seeds of the dwarf alpine eucalypts, and of many bushes and herbs of the Snowy Mountains, are ripening at this season, and would be readily forwarded in the course of the ordinary post.]
