I am directed by His Excellency Governor Hampton to acknowlege your letter of the
27th Ultimo,
and to thank you for the several suggestions therein made. It is not the Governor's
intention at present to any further steps regarding exploration of new country, but
he will duly consider your proposal of the employment of Dromedaries in the event
of an exploring party being formed in this Colony.
