I have much pleasure, dear Mr Knight, in introducing to you the Gentleman, whom Count
de Castelnau recommends as Subsecretary to the French Exhibition.
1
Exposition Universelle, Paris, 1867, for which many of the exhibits at Melbourne's
1866 Intercolonial Exhibition were destined.
Since it is likely, that you will be consociated with Mons. Lissignol for a series
of months in the promotion of the French Exhibition, I deem it a duty to afford Mr
Lissignol an opportunity of an interview with you at an early moment. I have known
Mr Lissignol since several years & can bear out the zeal & talent & knowledge he always
displayed when I came with him in contact.
I am, dear Sir,
your regardful
Ferd. Mueller.
