Having reported to the Council the plan proposed by Mr Smith for recapturing the waterfowl, I have the honor to inform you that they have requested Mr Purchas to visit the spot & report upon the proposal & that accordingly Mr Purchas will be there this day between 4 & 5 oclock.

Mr Smith mentioned to me that he believed it was your wish to have three swans now shut up at his house removed to the Royal Park but of course in this I await your special instructions I enclose a cheque covering all accounts that have yet reached me from your establishment.
