22./10./63.
My dear Miss Euphemia
I was much gratified to hear of your return to the neighbourhood of Melbourne this
day, and sincerely trust, that it is so in perfect restoration of your health. Amidst
engagements for the outgoing mail I shall have but little leisure til Monday, when
the afternoon will be needed for Councilwork of the Royal Society. But I shall be
highly pleased with the kindness of your visit to the gardens any day or hour afterwards,
begging to let me know timely when you will be here, so that I may not miss your visit.
Saturday will be a fête day of the horticultural Society nor will be able to have
a quiet walk on Sunday. I will feel honored in receiving you at my foot bridge or
any other place you may desire.
Very regardfully
ever yours
Ferd. Mueller
